Spyware Guard Error message

    I am extremely frustrated, every time I turn on computer I get this message.....This program has performed and illegal operation and will be shut down. Details say....Sgmain caused a general protection fault in module MSVBVM60.DLL at 0167:66084 baa. ALso tried to update Spyware Guard and got a message .....404 not found. Please explain carefully as I am very computer illiterate. Thank you
