    I run Ad-Adware 6, Spybot S&D and Spyware Blaster 1.3.

I am running the latest update in Spyware Blaster and have all protection enabled and yet Ad-Aware is regularly picking up spyware that the list in SB says it is set up to block.

    For instance yesterday it found:
    advertising[1].txt
    atdmt[2].txt
    bluestreak[1].txt
    cgi-bin[1].txt
    fastclick[2].txt
    mediaplex[1].txt
    advertising[2].txt

(Today there was also a Gator file).

Several but not all of these SB should block. Why is this not happening?

I am running XP Home. The tracking cookies appear to be picked up through my son's PC use as they are saved in his documents and settings file not mine. He has a seperate user profile set up, but shouldn't SB be protecting regardless, and if not how do you ensure it does?

    Any insights would be appreciated.

The cookie protections for IE6 (and also the restricted sites protection) are applied on a "per user" basis. SpywareBlaster would need to be run by each user on a PC in order for those protections to cover all accounts.

If all of the things Ad-Aware is finding are cookies on your son's account, then try running SpywareBlaster there to add those protections.
