Spyware Blaster keeps removing its protection

I downloaded the current spywareblaster and while I am on my computer I go back and check all my protections and make sure they are all doing what they supposed to be doing. Spyblaster keeps removing protection for certain spyware. The next time I do a scan with my spyware software, the spyware that spyblaster unchecks is what is found in my computer. I removed the spyblaster and downloaded it again from a different site. It does the same thing. Am I looking at something bigger than a faulty spyblaster program? What can I do to prevent this.
