SpyRemover - opinions please

    I have recently purchased Ewido - which I believe detects spyware/adware etc. I own Adaware Pro - but find it a drain on resources. Im trying SpyRemover at the moment - but not sure how good it is. It has a real time scanner - but want to know if it and the on demand scanner are up to it. I must say, it looks very much like spybot - what is the story here?

    It's according to which Mfg. of SpyRemover you have. As noted on the Rogue site Detox linked to....Spyremover by Rizalsoftware is the reported Rogue program and Spyremover by itcompany is legit.

    wow - good catch Bubba! I hadn't heard of the legit one before...

    If I were the legit lads, I'd come up with a new moniker to avoid confusion with the garbage :eek:

    The one from IT Company still looks like a spybot rip-off, I still wouldn't trust it much..

    The reason for the similarities is because the itcompany.com app is a licensed version of Spybot S&D.
