    Hi,

I had version 1.4 and hit update on Spybot S & D last night.

It found an update, I let it install (and in the back of my mind, worried if would uninstall previous version.)

After it installs some version (don't recall which), it says, install 1.5 ok?

Ah, now I'm real nervous.. clicked okay, was heading off for bed, so rather than restart after install as was asking, I shut down the system.

Came on this morning and looked at my menu bar and now see spybot s and d now has 2 separate listings on the start bar, and in one of those - 3 uninstalls. (I've no idea which to use to totally wipe off system.) Prior to the update process, I looked and was only one uninstall, so now there are 3.

I did a find files and here is what is showing from find files:

    2 uninstalls
(rather than the 3 shown on startbar)

    next

    four prefetch files:

    spybotsd.exe-1344268.pf in windows/prefetch
    spybotsd152.tmp-08979432.pf in windows/prefetch
    spybotsd152.tmp-ICICD990.pf in windows/prefetch
    spybotsd152.exe-035B02CC.pf in windows/prefecth

    on desktop is

    spybotsd152
    spybotsd14

    both above are applications

    in program files

    SpybotSD

then one more list of 3

Spybot - search and destroy (this is an application data file)
Spybot - search and destroy (can't see what is, but shows programs in file name)
Spybot - search and destroy (says is program file)

None of the above are shortcuts.

Was wondering if someone can tell me how to uninstall (as now have 3 uninstalls) all which is on system as obviously is going to be problems with all this above.

I'm not sure what to do to get rid of all now on sys.

    Thanks very much,
    Casey :)
