Spybot Question

When running my spybot S&D I notice at the bottom it says running xxx of 12,385 i.e 135/12385 but on my roommates it would say 135/5835, we both run update searches before running the program. but why do I have so many more items on my computer?

 

Because you've got more things checked in settings. Tell him/her to open SBS&D in "Advanced" mode, click on "Settings", then "File Sets" and to put checkmarks in all the categories. HTH Pete

Thanks for the reply, I went and pulled up his spybot and looked at the file sets.... he does have everything checked also. The only thing different is off to the right it says "checks" and we have different numbers in there, of course mine being much higher.

Also, neither of us has usage tracks checked, or the registry... how would one know what to get rid of in either?

 

Download new version 1.3 that should put you both at like 14,000 for bot checks.
