SpyBlocker - is it a scanner?

    I use Ad-aware and Spybot Search & Destroy, these scan your hard disk like AV programs. Is SB similar?

    On the bottom of the link above is http://spyware-stopper.com
    In what way is this different? Please explain in basic English. Thanks.
