Honestly I don't know much about spy emergency. I would go with Super anti spyware. You could also go with malwarebytes for on demand scans.

spyemergency is not bad in terms of features it have but the signature detection of Netgate is sort of weak. Go with SAS Pro.:thumb:

Languy99 has a video about it but it's from 2009. I was just watching some Youtube videos when I came across it and decided to see if there was a thread here about it.

    Spy Emergency...once upon a time...
Better stay with Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware (aka MBAM)
SUPERAntiSpyware (aka SAS) is a second good option.

+1:thumb: Why re-invent the wheel? I believe it may have been a good on demand in the day.

SAS only detects threats on-demand unlike MBAM and most other antimalwares. Are you complaining about this or you have experienced that SAS misses threats even on-execution?

SAS is overrated and so is Spy Emergency :doubt:

I tend to disagree with part of this statement. Spy Emergency is not overrated at all, it is just poor at what it supposed to do :D

Dont get me wrong here I have it as on-demand even though I paid for the pro version...and yes I have observed it missing most of the time even on-execution

o_O Nick should have been reported about this. Did you report this? Does that happened with v5 beta too? It worked quite good for me.
