I looked at the manual and I still don't know how to split an already made full backup file.

My single file backup is 10GB. I now want to make a copy and split the file into 1400MB each. Is there a function in True Image that lets you split a premade file without re-running the backup on the PC and setting the fixed split setting?

    Hi XP1,

I'm afraid there is no such function built into True Image.

Until the ability to burn images directly to DVDs and make them bootable feature has been added, I'll have to stick with WinRAR. :(

What version and build of TI are you using? From TI 9.0 Home Build 3633 onwards you have the capability to create an image direct to DVDs and opt to include the Acronis bootable media components. See this previous thread titled <how to add an image backup to a bootable DVD> for details.

I just skimmed the thread you posted and seems to be easier than:
<How to create bootable rescue DVD(s)>, Post #269

I'm using the free True Image 7 at the moment. Hopfully, I might get a newer version soon to use this new feature. :)

    Thanks
