    Thanks:D

Is kerio still a viable option as a firewall.Thought this had been abandoned.

I think this just moves the Splash off of the screen but does not
really kill it, just hides it, I was hopeful that I could find a way to
actually prevent it, but thanks anyway

anyone have a way to prevent it?:thumb:

Cannot find KPF Splash Screen Killer anywhere ATM, however, you can try Splashkiller: -http://www.digitallis.co.uk/pc/SplashKiller/index.html-

Looks clean per VT, not tested whether it works or not.

Another alternative: hexedit. This should really disable it, not just hide.

It is still a viable alternative, but it will work only for Windows XP and earlier and for IPv4.

guest, why do you want to stop the splash screen altogether and not just hide it?

Thank you, that worked perfect, usually it is just a reg file that needs to
be modded but in this case it seems a more "lets say intense method"
had to be used and I thank you for the help:thumb:

When I do something I don't do it "halfway"
I believe in doing things right and that is why I wanted to
stop it completely instead of just hiding it:)

I have KPFSplashKiller.exe version 2.1.0.1 from BrightNova, but don't know where it might be now since http://www.brightnova.com/kpf/ no longer works.
If other sites still have it, MD5 of my file is 4ce0c96590478a3e6497832a9efe3e23

guest, in case you ever want to look at your rules unencrypted but as a text file, see
    http://www.broadbandreports.com/forum/remark,18237905

Save rules as .txt file. Useful if you want to make a batch change. After which you need to restart GUI with changed rules still in .txt mode. Maybe you have to restart Kerio, I forgot, since I haven't done this in couple years.
Then go back to the registry, change the value to zero. And save the now encrypted new rules.
I made me two .reg files - to disable and to enable. Get there quicker.

I was just playing with this one to see what can be done
the firewall looks interesting but I think I will stick with LnS
    for now:D :D :D

I used it years ago. I wish it's development was continued. They still have a corporate firewall, but it is bundled with their UTM.
