spf 4 & vipre & avira suite 9

    Dear Wilderites! This isn't meant too be a comparison merely an observation! I'm currently cross comparing the two,and it's an issue regarding responsiveness.Using Avira my system is more responsive,and with spf4 & Vipre it's less responsive,pages take longer to load and the blue spiral seems to hang processes,is this attributable to memory or firewall configuration.I Noticed Avira as a suite is considerably larger but runs lighter. Point being anyone else running these two apps experiencing the same dilemma? Sincerely....Securon

    I've trialled VIPRE +spf 4, and the Avira security suite, and found the latter to be lighter/faster. (Windows XP)

    Securon,

    You may want to try disabling Web Filtering in SPF to see if that speeds things up. You shouldn't see issues with VIPRE or SPF slowing anything down but it could be happening because of conflicts with other software on your system.
