Speed or best protection?

    I want both, but I've always favored speed/performance over protection. I feel I've got both now with NIS 2009. Ooops, I wasn't suppose to mention the name. :oops: ;)

    I would say detection over speed. Although speed is a consideration, catching a virus is the point.

    As others have said, if it's speed you care about, you can always go AV-free and use defensive measures, along with on-demand scanning and image restoration.

    Before both, however, I'd say compatibility. It has to run smoothly with my other security software. No app crashes or BSOD's.
