Is it possible to span an already created image file onto multiple cd's?

    Hello Darryl,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software.

We regret to inform you that current version of Acronis True Image cannot split the image after creation. You may set the split size during creation, however.

    Thank you.

    Hi.
we are now 5 months or so later. We now have true-image 9.
Is it now possible to span an image that was created as a whole?

I have made an image and it is 4gigs. However, it cannot be burned to
a dvd using joliet. So nero used udf system. Will the recovery software
from the created acronis boot-cd be able to restore from that dvd?

    Hello Hans,

No, it's still not possible to retrospectively split an image (well, not in a way that's recognised by TI!!).

When burning a Nero compilation, the maximum individual file size for a DVD-ROM (ISO) is 2000MB and for a DVD-ROM (UDF) is 4.3GB. So yes, provided TI's Check Archive Wizard gave the recorded image a clean bill of health, the boot rescue CD will be able to restore the 4GB image from your DVD.

    Regards
