i have the habit of leaving my laptop on during the day. this results in standby mode.

very often when i return, i notice that some web sites like google fail to load for, what seems like an infinite long time, and eventually i have to disable the firewall for 10 minutes, and yes the site starts loading.

    i use windows 7, sp1, and EES 5.0.2122.1.

i did not have this problem earlier, with older versions of ESSBE.

Have you tried updating your browser? Sometimes it might help.

Ok, maybe you might want to upgrade your ESS to the latest version which is 5.2. See if this will help.
    Good luck!

While the home edition of ESET Smart Security is 5.2.9.1, sangam mentioned he was running EES which is ESET Endpoint Security and the latest version is indeed 5.0.2122.1

Are all the network drivers up to date?

Another possible solution is to go into Device Manager and in the Network adapter or ethernet adapter, right-click each adapter, go to the Power management tab and deselect the option "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power"
