    Some questions about defragmentation.

    Hi.

I ran PerfectDisk today, and before I started I got 160 GB with free space. After PefectDisk was done, I only have 113 GB. Is it supposed to be like this or what? I'm starting to get a little bit worried.

    Thanks

That doesn't sound good. Are you sure it is the total free space, or just the "Largest Free Space Chunk" which is the largest contiguous free space, reported by PD ?

You could run the "reclaim free space" utility and see what it gets you.

I've heard of this before, never experienced it myself.
Contact their support, they are usually very helpful.

I have contacted their support now. But I'm still waiting for an answer. I really don't hope me HD is broken. I want my space back!

If you have a solution, please let me know.

Maybe if you click the analyze button and see if the results changes.

    Re: Some questions about defragmentation.

I download and ran Piriform's Defraggler, and suddently I got my lost space back. I don't get it. PerfectDisk is off my disk for now, anyway.

    Thank you all.

I did, but it did not change anything. But my problem is fixed now. Thank you. :)
