More obviously they seem like people who don't know what computer security means. Their computers are so infected its already a piece of crap for throwin' out the window!
Hi Buck - that does not surprise me at all. However, I disagree with the writer that the son is responsible for the porn. It may well have been a result of an unpatched, unscanned, unprotected system. If an anti-virus was disabled, they probably did not know what to do with it. I know people who say "I am protected - I have anti-virus installed" & I find it is never updated. When I ask them about a firewall I am told "what's that"? My neighbor doesn't even know how to do an Ad-aware scan or how to get updates. I go over once a week and do maintenance for her but I make her sit down & do it while I guide her through the steps. These types of computer users are a hackers piece of cake with icing. But, u know we all have to start somewhere and learn and the desire to learn must be there. The kindest thing that can be done is for the writer to help that computer user rather than ridicule. OK, as a teenager, I feel I have an insight into the teenage attraction to this sort of material. But of course being a member of wilders, if I was to do such a thing, I would know how to keep myself safe from nasties Jimbob
