    A PC for me is a great and high quality monitor, a nice desk and a very comfortable seat. :) :)

    PC has come to mean Windows. It's the whole PC/Mac dichotomy. You don't see people calling their macs PCs even though they are personal computers.

    PC = Privy Council

    I agree with the idea that 'PC' seems to imply a windows-based personal computer, at least that's the context I've heard the term used under most frequently.

    Personal Computer. So it's up to the "person" to:

    a) define what a "computer" means/looks to him/her
    b) consider whether a device (tablet/smartphone/Mac/Ipad/etc) as a "computer".
