    Hi

Today I discovered that I have already purchased so many security software licenses which I'm not using at all !! and here are some examples with reasons of why I have bought

1- SAS Pro Life time License
Just because I'm using it's fantastic free scanner every few months :isay:

2- OA 1 year never activated License
I can not give any reason here, may be just because I falled in love with it's trial version ! :)

    3- Regdefend Life time License
I used it for months till I bought SSM .

    4- SpySweeper
I was a fan of this product in it's early stage till Ver 4.5 then it turned to a nightmare to me and to my PC and uninstall didn't satisfy me I reformatted and never installed again , in spite of this I renewed 2 or 3 times hoping it will be nice again and I still have 9 months in my license, but this time nothing on earth will make me renew any more.

    5- SuperAdBlocker Life time License
Uninstalled when switched to FireFox, find no benefit to keep it with no IE.

6- Process Guard Life time License
    Uninstalled when purchased SSM.

    7- CounterSpy 3 years License
Just purchased couple of weeks ago, but has some conflicts with SSM so I uninstalled :'(

Now is there any others here like me, or I'm the only Idiot o_O

Metting, I'm sure you're not alone here. I have several licenses that I no longer use either. In fact, I think the majority of Wilders have a ton of stuff their not using.

Oh yes you are not alone; I realized that same thing last week. I bought licenses for three applications in the last month which I am now going to stick with for a while. No more changing my setup.

Enough license purchases to have lost the ability to gripe about my wife's shopping excursions. :D

Hi, Metting: In the sense of wise money management, you may be an id---, but in the view of fondness towards remarkable softwares, you are, I normally call, an aficionado. The apps you have purchased are all of good/excellent quality. I probably will do the same, should my deep pocket allow me. People usually learn from their past mistakes(if any), therefore do not feel any remorse. You are not alone in this cyberworld. Have a nice one.

    Who, me?
I think one of my divorces was because of that.
Also, seems I remember a really sick dude who changes avatar's and security programs as often as most people change their socks.
    Nope. You're not alone.
    Enjoy the insanity.

I have an 3 eMail-folders (webmail, hotmail & yahoo) with valid licences that I've never used and some that didn't get re-installed after my last re4mat. Tecnically, my eMails have more security than my pc! roflol :D (there is one member with 26 years worth of 1-yr licences, shhhh!)

I once had a few spare licenses but I gave them away.

I do think I have a license for Cyberhawk in my email somewhere though.

    Hello,

I'm not fast to pull out my credit card when it comes to software.

Only when I find something really nice, really ... effective, then I'm ready to begin considering spending money. So far, I have paid for very few programs, and they are all active on my PCs.

The best investment was the Acronis True Image.

I do have some licenses from beta testing and CastleCops competition, I gave some away, didn't cash in the others yet.

    Mrk

A few of my spare licenses are freebies for signing up for newsletters and from my isp, such as a couple of suites (NIS,FSIS), a pro-defragger, a privacy-thingy, etc. Not to mention beta-licenses, oy vey I should clean out my eMails b4 I get the urge to change my set-up again!!!

I try to take the same approach. Why let them go to waste when you can help someone.

I've only bought a couple of licenses at full price:
Counterspy, Winpatrol and SAS Pro (lifetime).

The rest, I've gotten on the cheap or free- TrialPay, etc.

Hurrrrrrrrray I'm not a lonely idiot here :D

You make me feel like living in a big family ;) Thanks for all

Shhhhhhhhh don't tell any one, I forgot or frankly didn't dare to add 2 more unused licenses, Cyberhawk Pro and Norton Antibot , I hope this will not give me back the reward of "Only Idiot" :D

Thanks for all Wilders members for their great continuous support to security software vendors, I think they can't live without us ;)

Still got a month left for Drweb (havent used it for three months now)
Other software that I have licenses for but dont use anymore because I´ve found others that are better or the software had critical bugs:
    Image for Windows/Dos (imaging software)
Irider (a quite innovative browser that I used until someone developed the right extensions to mimik the Irider functionality)
    Engage (start button organizer)
Cfos speed a traffic shaper (great for ADSL but I have LAN now)
    Port explorer
    Processguard
    App and regdefend
    Tiny personal firewall
    Rollback Rx
I dont know if Outpost Pro counts since it is subscription based.

I have had Look´n´stop license for a couple of years but thought I found better FW´s so I havent used it for a long time until recently when I rediscovered it when I needed a FW for Vista. So that was one license that wasnt wasted :)
