Common problem. OSS can't see Vista, build 2160 (Vista Home Premium preinstalled by HP). After activating OSS couldn't boot into Vista and couldn't uninstall OSS because it didn't see any OS.

Fixed it by restoring MBR with TI. Usual advice is to use Vista disc but I only have a recovery set. Don't know if they would work.

Acronis Support was to install SnapAPI. Try it first without logging and then with.

Was spooked a bit by not being able to get to Windows even though I got out of it. Does anyone know what SnapAPI is? Will this change make OSS see my Vista?

    Thanks,

    Dave

    Dave,

There is a problem with OSS not being able to find OEM installations of Vista. These are "brand" OEM installations. OSS doesn't have any problems finding Vista installed from a Microsoft OEM Vista DVD.

Take a look at this post from Acronis Support. A new build will hopefully be released soon to fix this problem.
