    Hello,

if i try to install AcronisTrueImageAgentLinuxEnterprise.i686 on SuSe Linux
Enterprise Server x64 i get an snapapi module error.

    Error Log:
    ------------------------------------------------------------
    Launching '/usr/sbin/dkms install -m snapapi26 -v 0.7.29 2>&1'.

Error! DKMS tree does not contain: snapapi26-0.7.29
Build cannot continue without the proper tree.

    Launching '/usr/sbin/dkms install -m snapapi26 -v 0.7.29 2>&1'.

Error! Could not locate snapapi26.ko for module snapapi26 in the DKMS tree.
You must run a dkms build for kernel 2.6.16.21-0.8-smp (x86_64) first.

Error! Your kernel source for kernel 2.6.16.21-0.8-smp cannot be found at
    /lib/modules/2.6.16.21-0.8-smp/build or /lib/modules/2.6.16.21-0.8-smp/source.
You can use the --kernelsourcedir option to tell DKMS where it's located.
    exited with status 1.
    ------------------------------------------------------------
Last week i updated the kernel to 2.6.16.27-0.9-smp, so the correct path is
    /lib/modules/2.6.16.27-0.9-smp/. snumbd26.ko and snapapi26.ko are in /lib/modules/2.6.16.27-0.9-smp/weak-updates (symbolic links to /lib/modules/2.6.16.21-0.8-smp/updates/).

The module/version has already been built on: 2.6.16.27-0.9-smp, so should i remove the module and build/install the module manually?
    Any other ideas?

    greets

    Steffen

    Hello sknauf,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Remote Server Backup Software.

We are sorry for delayed response.

Yes, in case modules fail to compile automatically, they need to be compiled manually. You can find compiling instructions in the /usr/lib/Acronis/Agent/HOWTO.INSTALL file.

    Thank you.

    Hello,

i compiled the module manually, but the agent dont work.
After a few minutes, the backup process (TrueImageService) freeze/stopps.

    After install

    I remove the module first:

    dkms remove -m snapapi26 -v 0.7.29 --all

    and build/install the module:

    dkms build -m snapapi26 -v 0.7.29 --config config-2.6.16.27-0.9-smp --arch x86_64 --kernelsourcedir /usr/src/linux

    dkms install -m snapapi26 -v 0.7.29 --config config-2.6.16.27-0.9-smp --arch x86_64 --kernelsourcedir /usr/src/linux

The last lines of the Strace Output File look like this:

    futex(0xf5a0ee04, FUTEX_WAIT, 116589, NULL) = -1 EAGAIN (Resource temporarily unavailable)
    futex(0xf5a0ede8, FUTEX_WAKE, 1) = 0
    futex(0xe6844ba0, FUTEX_WAKE, 786) = 0
    time(NULL) = 1209379792
    futex(0xf5a0ee04, FUTEX_WAIT, 116781, NULL

    greets

    Hello sknauf,

We are sorry for delayed response.

In that case, please collect Linux system report the following way:

Please download the Linux System Report utility available here and do the following to create the report:

    - Unpack the archive: # tar xvf sysinfo.tar
    - Make the script executable: # chmod +x sysinfo
    - Run the executable: # ./sysinfo

Then please submit a request for technical support. Attach all the collected files and information to your request along with the step-by-step description of the actions taken before the problem appears and the link to this thread. We will investigate the problem and try to provide you with a solution.

    Thank you.
