    Hi Everyone,

    I am having a small problem with Snap Deploy 2.0 (With Universal Deploy). When I attempt to image a computer with the image, the computer will reboot and will then hang at a Blank Screen. I know that it is not an image problem becuase some of the machines are able to image straight off the image and into windows.

    The machine in question is actually the one that the image was taken off so there shouldn't be any problem with the image restoring!

    If I press the power button when the screen goes blank, the machine powers off immediately, rather than having to wait the 5 seconds once windows starts to load so there's something wrong there.

    After the machine is restarted, the message that 'Windows Did not start up correctly' last time is shown and hangs at this same screen if you select any option.

    Anyone have any ideas? It's only a trial and at this stage if the problem can't be easily fixed, then i'll not be touching Snap Deploy.

    One other thing - the Deploy Console in Server 2003 shows that everything was fine;

    <event code="0" id="91" message="File 'D:\Acronis Snap Deploy\Microsoft Windows XP.tib' is accepted to download from FileServer as '456572611141367'" module="100" time="1185594439" type="2" />
    <event code="0" id="92" message="Session 'Windows XP SP2': Join client '192.168.1.100'" module="100" time="1185594439" type="2" />
    <event code="0" id="93" message="Remove client '192.168.1.100' from session 'Windows XP SP2'" module="100" time="1185594645" type="2" />
    <event code="0" id="94" message="Host '192.168.1.100' finished deployment (0x0)
    Tag = 0x9C5A16066A60D38F" module="0" time="1185594645" type="2" />
    <event code="0" id="95" message="Session 'Windows XP SP2' is removed" module="100" time="1185594645" type="2" />

    The only thing is that the overall status in the deploy console is always more than 100% and the total progress bar on the machine is always 100% and with 'remaining' and nothing else, but the imaging still works on some machines.

    The machine in Question is a Dell GX150 which installed from the original XP disc with full drivers so there's nothing like missing drivers that I can see.

    If I restore the image using a True Image boot disc and apply the exact image then it works without a problem

    If your problem is the same as mine I am working on some troubleshooting steps - you can check my post to see if it makes sense or may be related to your problem.
