Smart Security freezing.

Hi all,

Having reinstalled XP the first thing I did was download Eset Smart Security,

I have used this program for some time and never had a problem, but this time after downloading, started the install, entered user name and password it reached "configuring files/data" or something similar and then just froze.

No mouse , keyboard nothing, restarted computer warning popup said no antivirus installed, but the firewall was working.

Have tried to uninstall but not listed in control panel, start menu uninstall says only available for installed programs.

I have tried using a different hard drive, after installing XP the same thing happens, have tried installing from a back up CD v3, have even bought a new
licensed copy, also have done online scans to make sure I haven't picked a nasty but still freezes at the same point.

Any ideas gratefully received.

use Eset uninstaller to remove it and try again

Thanks for quick response, I have uninstalled several times, in the end by reinstalling XP, but will give it a go.
