I haven't updated to .650 yet but as I see, the firewall component of my .642 has just been updated together with signatures. Does this mean that updating to .650 isn't required as it is not any major software update?

In other words: is anything changed in the suite's 'core' module that makes the manual update worth it?

ESET Smart Security and ESET NOD32 Antivirus v3.0.650.0 have been released in Czech, Slovak and English. This release contains the following changes:

    • Fixed problem with updating from a mirror http server when NTLM authentication is used.
    • Fixed problem with display of license expiration date.
    • Fixed integration issue with Microsoft Windows Mail under Windows Vista.
    • Fixed firewall issues.

NOTE: To ensure a smooth transition, ESET recommends uninstalling your current protection before installing ESET software.
