    Hi All,
    thanks for setting everything up!

It all started with my network connection icon which for some odd reason it is always showing as transimitting data even when my computer is completely idle and nothing is open. I checke my task list and I saw an unfamiliar service: SM1bg.exe. Googling it lead me here. I have a strong feeling my computer has a trojan, before I simply get rid of that service I wanted to get your opinion.

I ran the ad-aware software and both the service and the internet activity is still going on.

    please advise,

    here is the HiJackThis.log file:

C:\WINDOWS\SM1BG.EXE are drivers for USB storage like memory cards, cameras, usb hard discs etc

install a firewall urgently and block all unknown outgoing requests

I can't see anything obvious in the log but please do this

Run an online antivirus check from at least one and preferably 2 of the following sites

    list of firewalls here
