I use Winmerge for sync'ing WinXP directories, and often use Winmege for deleting local files when they are deemed identical to a remote archive. Sometimes this involves thousands of files, and I'm finding the process painfully sluggish unless I temporarily disable NOD32. Is there something in the NOD32 configuration, such that I can let NOD32 know that Winmerge shall not be hindered?

TIA & cheerios from the Avalon Peninsula :)

Have you put the program in the exclusion list to see if that helps?

I suppose I could try it ... but the help file implies "exclusion" is for folder and file types only(?)

You can exclude programs as well, just point it to the winmerge.exe file.

Couldn't it be that the files are not actually deleted but moved to the recycle bin?
