We have just installed the server version of Eset File Security V4.3.12017.0. on a SBS 2003 Server

Since this our backup has started taking 2 hours longer than usuall.

We backup to external USB3 Drives Using Backup Exec

I have excluded the drive letter of the USB drive and also unticked removable storage also we have excluded the AOFO folder and the Backup Exec program folder.

In our old version of AV (etrust 8.1) you could exlude processes in which we excluded all the Backup Exec processes.

I can not find this option is Eset.

ANother option would be to disable Eset before the backup and then reenable after but the service cannot be stoped or started as it is greyed out.

I then looked at using the Eset Shell but could not find a way of including the settings password.

Any ideas would be greatly received.

    Many thanks

Not sure what kind of data (types of files) you back up. Have you tried disabling Advanced heuristics (AH), Runtime packers and Self-extracting archives for newly created files? Instead you could try enabling AH on file execution.
