Slow backup for My Email

When I backup C-partition with V. 10 ATI, it took 8 to 9 min to complete.
Today, I tried to backup "My Email", it takes a little more than 30 min.
So I decided to abort backup. My email size is supposedly to be much smaller than c-partition. I wonder why backup of My Email takes longer than C-partition.

First of all, please make sure you use the latest build (4942) of Acronis True Image 10.0 Home. To get access to updates you should first register your software.

If you already using the latest build, please do the following:

- Let us know the exact title of E-mail client you use (e.g. Microsoft Outlook Express 6.0, Microsoft Outlook 2003);

- Quantity of user profiles;

- Amount of the accounts for these profiles;

- Do you use imap accounts or pop3 accounts?

Please also create Windows System Information as it is described in Acronis Help Post.

Then submit a request for technical support. Attach all the collected files and information to your request along with the step-by-step description of the actions taken before the problem appears and the link to this thread.

Thank you Isakov for reminding me of the latest build. I got v.10 this Monday. I forgot to register but found that its build was 4871. I will donwload the updated version and test again. Thanks. Sarutaro

 

Hi Aleksandr,

As you suggested, I installed the latest version (bld. 4942) this morning. It took about 10 min (actually 9 min 15 sec) to backup c-partition but backup for Email folder is stilling going after passing a 10 min timeline. The final tib size of the c-partion was ca. 6.6 gb. So I aborted backing up of the email folder. I feel that email backup is too slow to use. BTW, I use both Outlook 2003 and Outlook Express. There is only one profile. I do not wish to waste my time for email backup in future.
