I just purchased a new alienware notebook with a Raid-0 Array. I'm patiently waiting to have it shipped to me. I've never used a Raid-0 Array before, so I have a few questions. I know that Raid-0 "strips" the data between the two HDs but is it still possible to degragment the drives in Raid-0?

Also, is there any other recommended software to use in a Raid-O Array for best performance? Thanks!

I had some of same questions as my first venture into Raid-0 was with a velocity micro notebook. So far my experience has been it is transparent. I use Perfect Disk 7.0 to Defrag. I use First Defense ISR, and it works fine. I also use Retrospect 7.0 for backup and have tested it with Ghost 2003 and Acronis True Image 8.0. Everything works fine.
