    Hi,

the current size limit is of 300 characters, which would be fine, but when you type "code" such as [ color ] or [ size ] etc... all the tags are counted, and a simple sentence to which you apply size/color quickly reach the limit, especially
when you type an url :

    [ url=www.mywebsite.com/mypage.html]my text[/url ]

= 49 characters typed, for in reality 7 characters which will appears in the signature.

Is there a possibility to apply the limit only on the result sig and not on the "pre" sig ?

Actually, some bbcode was already not being counted when calculating the size of signatures. In fact, the bytes that comprise your current signature in raw format, (meaning counting all the characters when viewing it in the signature editing box) is 339 bytes. However, a bug in the routine that strips bbcode was failing to remove some of the bbcode that had attributes. In the case of your signature, [ size=1][ /size] was not being removed properly, so that cost you 15 characters right there.

Anyway, the flaw in this routine was documented, so I just updated the function here which will give everyone a little more room in their signatures.
