Make sure all RAM modules are good. Did this problem appear after the addition of new RAMS? Connect ONLY the mouse, keyboard, and monitor to the PC. Reboot and disable all items in Scheduled Tasks. Reboot PC and check for problem. If shutdown persists, then you may need to format and reload windows.

You may also want to clear all items in Event Viewer, reboot and wait for the problem to appear. Now check Event Viewer for possible diagnostic message(s).

This is usually caused by RAM or PSU problems... Remove RAM, clean (using an eraser) RAM terminals and re-insert properly...

We used Q-tips and reagent-grade isopropyl alcohol (99.5% purity) to clean rocket engine components. Most drug stores will carry high-grade isopropyl solution. You want as little water as possible in the solution.

Avoid the use of abrasive materials. The pins are gold plated. A few insertions into the RAM slot will remove surface residues and oxide deposits. Don't worry about shorting out the pins. RG isopropyl alcohol has very high dielectric properties.
