I'm thinking about un-installing DriveSentry and either going with Prevx Edge, Geswall, or Defense Wall, any advice?

i think DriveSentry is a great program but if u do insist on using something else, u cant go wrong with any of those apps, or u can use either Defensewall or Geswall alongside Prevx Edge.

    Although Prevx Edge looks appealing.;)

What about running both? DriveSentry+Prevx Edge?

    Haven't tried that.
I found that Drive Sentry and Prevx CSI run together fine.
I would wonder if DS and Edge both running real-time would cause a conflict?

None that I saw running them together with both as trials. Not sure paid versions would make a difference.

IMO, it's an overkill setup especially with avira.

Whats so bad about drivesentry? I think its a great program but if you want something different you should try unhackme with some other product, I guess. I mean i never used prevxedge and all that stuff but of course there top-notch programs

@CookieCrumbler,i think that UnhackMe is a good program to combine with DriveSentry or any other hips to clean rootkits infections;)

theirs nothing bad with DS, people just dont seem to want to give it a try because its either "too quiet/simple" for them or some other reasons... :doubt:

Prevx Edge rocks and you can't beat their support! They are online here all the time.

It comes down to detection and protection. Ask yourself, if you could only use one, which would it be. For me, Edge covers the bases, especially on detection over DS.

ye if ur looking for detection, then probly Edge would be best bet, but if u know a little bit on how to somewhat configure a much easier to use HIPS than most, kinda basic setup, then DS has the potential to be quite strong. althought i love both edge and DS, cant go wrong with either, Edge is a bit more automated than DS though.
