    My platform:
    win xp pro sp 2
    all MS patches always installed manually, immediately
    two accounts: administrative and restricted.
    The latter one for regular work.
    kerio pfw 4.2.2 free
    nod32 standard, actual version
    ewido, full trial expiered, free version running now

    What are the practical profits of switching from ewido free
    to ewido plus ?
    Do you recommand upgrading to Plus and why ?
    If I can stay on the free version, why ?

    The benefits of the paid version would be automatic updates and the real time protection guard. Version 4 is also supposed to have a scheduler, I would only stay on the free version if I had another AT running in real time such as BOClean.

    @The Hammer:
    Thanks for your hints.
    The formal benefits are good known to me.
    I meant with my question, what do these profits mean practically.
    Especially in relation to my configuration.

    ewido full (real-time) would give you additional malware detection with NOD32

    i haven't seen any comprehensive tests of ewido full but it claims these features
