Merlin is a nice looking cat Nat. Here's another animal in need of some special care. Maybe a pet psychiatrist.

Lovesick Swan Falls for Swan-Shaped Boat
    Reuters
BERLIN (May 26) - A swan has fallen in love with a plastic swan-shaped paddle boat on a pond in the German town of Muenster and has spent the past three weeks flirting with the vessel five times its size, a sailing instructor said Friday.

Peter Overschmidt, who operates a sailing school and rents the two-seat paddle boat on the Aasee pond, said the black swan with a bright red beak has not left the white swan boat's side since it flew in one day in early May.

''It seems like he's fallen in love,'' said Overschmidt. ''He protects it, sits next to it all the time and chases away any sail boats that get anywhere nearby. He thinks the boat is a strong and attractive swan.''

Overschmidt said the swan will figure it out sooner or later but hopes he won't be too heartbroken.

''I'll wish him all the best and hope that he doesn't make the same mistake again,'' said Overschmidt.''

That happened here in the UK at one of the Safari Parks last year.....they took the 'Swan Boat' out of the lake for the Winter assuming the Male swan would get over it's 'crush' but eventually they had to put the boat back on the Lake because the Swan was pining away to the point of dying, and they both lived happily ever after, Swans mate for life.....Now thats what I call LOVE.........:thumb: :-* :-*

With great pride I want to tell the world that my "Little Girl",
who will be 18 in July, has Graduated from school, a few days ago !!!

    http://img99.exs.cx/img99/8577/yupi3ti.gif

Yes, I'm a proud mommy  .....but I have to admit that I have those strange, fleeting feelings of the "Empty Nest Syndrome" once in a while. LOL.

    I know, I know...it's Alllll normal. ;)
{Besides...I still have another, younger one that won't leave to another land for another year. Yep...she wants to be an Exchange student.
    She has made up her mind. :D }

I'll survive and her wings aren't clipped for sure.
But it's a bit sad to know that soon she'll be gone to college and then into the Air Force.
She may be going to other countries...which is good.

Yet, those days when families stayed and lived close together are obviously far, far gone.

    I left my country too. So I should not complain...should I ?? :D

    ~Congrats~ Baby girl !!! :-*

my teeth are whiter ?? :D <---- look !

Well it wasn't licking sugar...but I'm glad I made it.

:D Only other Moms know how I feel...:'( :D
    Thanx Peaches.

One Q. Why are so many of the members here so sensitive about their age o_O LOL...I could care less how young or old you are....but it's interesting to know.

    It's called "NATURAL human-bonding-curiousity" !! :shifty:

    Well OK. Gotta respect ppl's wishes to secrecy...:cautious: :p :D ;)

Hey! I sure am ready to play with Edster.....
but he's NOT fast as you called him.

He promised to take me to Prom...which was like 4 weeks ago,
and he still hasn't showed up.

My nailpolish has chipped off my nails...and my black hair shows signs of silverish strands.
I think it's the stress. :doubt:

Like I said - age is only a state of mind. Some people simply do not like older people and make no bones about it. Now getting back to Eddie, maybe he needs likes biker chicks ... :D
