I don't remember having seen any comment regarding:
Symantec Backup Exec System Recovery 8 Desktop Edition, in this Sub-forum

Is it possible to compare it to ShadowProtect Workstation

Both seems to have IMHO same characteristics

    Hello,
backupexec system recovery uses an older version of the shadow protect driver for its imaging functions.
backup exec also has file backup.

shadow protect have improved there driver quite a few times since the one used in backup exec so you may as well have the lastest tech and get ShadowProtect
