In my opinion prevx is not needed when you have defensewall. I have also valid license on prevx but i don't use it since i have installed defensewall. Prevx is smth similiar to standard AV softwares - blacklist based-on technology which is indeed very old method of fighting with malware/trojans/viruses, etc. And this technique is totally useless against 0 day threats.
Keep in your mind that Prevx offers detection level, Defensewall offers prevention - for me prevention is the winner.

To be honest with you - I also use AV (Dr.Web CureIt!) on demand - once per month/per 2-months, but since i have defensewall detection isn't so important for me, as i mentioned earlier.

Packet inspection- no (did you see any average user really need and use this feature?), boot protection- sorry, could you explain this sentence for me?

Protection from when the computer starts to boot up i think is what was meant.

Online Armor has an option to block all traffic during system boot.

DefenseWall's traffic control is built very different way. Inbound connections are refuses until the protection is totally initialized, outbound is not because trusted processes are allowed to connect Internet if the "deny for both trusted and untrusted" attribute is set.
