Serial Number For Installation

In installing my copy of True Image 8.0 it asks you to enter the serial number and then provides a screen showing 5 fields in which to make your entry. I presume the "serial number" is the 12 digits shown on the invoice and on the box under the ISBN number, but when entering this number it only fills about half of the 5 fields.

It doesn't seem correct to provide 5 fields for entry and then use only half of them. Can someone tell me where to find the proper "serial number" for entry, or whether it is okay to just use half of the entry fields provided.

the serial number must look like the following example:

3SDD3-WERT4-BULLS-IRDA3-LLKU8

(this is really just an example, not a valid serial, so do not try it.... ))

It is called a "serial number" in my invoice.

 

Thanks for reply, JimBob. I finally turned over the little blue Startup Guide and, LO & BEHOLD, there it was! I suppose I SHOULD have looked there, but, damn, they could give you a clue!
