I'm trying Prevx1 right now.Check it out for yourself.;)

    In my opinion:
A-Squared and SUPERAntiSpyware would be good free scanners.
For rootkits I like Ice Sword 1.20 and GMER the best.

I installed KAV and I couldn't do anything with my pc!!!

It's just tooooooo heavy on resources!

I have 1gb ram, and it seems it's not enough!

I had to disintall it because even Diablo 2 (game made in 199:cool: ran slow!

You could try AVS which runs quite light and is basically a stripped down version of KAV.

One of KAV's avp.exe tasks run at 7,500kb while the other runs at 2,000kb with all protection enabled and minimized to the taskbar (not during a scan). Only the application control, registry guard, and potentially dangerous software boxes are unticked. No semi-transparent windows and I'm using my sytem's colors and styles (windows classic theme). I installed the latest trial version.

It runs way lighter than Nod32 for me... Does this seem right to you?

I just changed it up again..

Firewall: I'm sticking to the one built in to my router (Linksys WRT54G Thibor15c firmware)

    Anti-Virus: Nod32 (all protection enabled)

Anti-Malware: AVG Anti-Spyware (all protection enabled)

On-demand scanners - A-Squared Free, Spyware Doctor, Ad-Aware Pro, Spybot, Windows Defender, IceSword

I'm also considering Prevx1 with this set-up. Would this be enough security?

I use Firefox, Opera, and IE. Mainly Firefox and Opera. I'm a relatively safe surfer... Would there be a point using a software firewall when there's already a firewall built into my router?

not unless you want outbound filtering of what your apps might be sending out but if your pc is malware free it isnt a problem.

Ah alright. I think with this combo I should be malware free....

    Anti-Virus: Nod32 2.70.9 Beta

    Other Anti-Malware: AVG Anti-Spyware 7.5.0.50 Plus

    w/ Prevx1 Research Version 2.0.2 & Router Firewall

Love this combination so far. Low resource usage and excellent malware protection.

Hey. It was a bit different for me, because I'm using the 2.7 Beta. I figured it out after a minute or so. Usually I can figure out how to do that kind of stuff... Thanks again for all the help.

I'd suggest something like appdefend for outbound protection.
