    hello,

we try to create secure zone on server linux sles10 but it failed. On graphic mode we must reboot the server because there is no response, on command line we have the following thing :

    Server-sl9:~ # trueimagecmd -list
Num Partition Flags Start Size Type
    ---- -------------------- ----------- ---------- ---------- -----------
    Disk 1:
    1-1 cciss/c0d0p1 Pri 63 2104452 Linux Swap
    1-2 cciss/c0d0p3 Pri 2104515 20980890 ReiserFS
    1-3 cciss/c0d0p2 Pri,Act 23085405 119154105 ReiserFS
    Server-sl9:~ # trueimagecmd -asz_create --harddisk:1 --partition:1-2 --size:4441500
    Failed to lock disk 1.

The server is an HP server,

true image is the latest build. TrueImageServer9.1.3854_s_en.i686

    Linux is sles10 64 .

    Linux server-sl9 2.6.16.27-0.6-smp #1 SMP Wed Dec 13 09:34:50 UTC 2006 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

we install the same version of true image on another server bt with SLES9 32b it works but one difference is that we have 2 disks :

Num Partition Flags Start Size Type
    ---- -------------------- ----------- ---------- ---------- -----------
    Disk 1:
    1-1 cciss/c0d0p1 Pri 32 2105248 Linux Swap
    1-2 cciss/c0d0p3 Pri 2105280 41958720 ReiserFS
    Table 44064000 Table

    Hello RBU98,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Linux Server Disk Backup Software.

We are sorry for the delayed response.

Please note that console mode (trueimagecmd) of Acronis True Image 9.1 Server for Linux doesn’t support operations that require reboot to complete the operation (like partition resizing during image restoration or during Acronis Secure Zone creation). Therefore, under complex conditions, we recommend that you use the more powerful operating mode under X Window System.

As for the following issue "On graphic mode we must reboot the server because there is no response", please explain your step-by-step actions which you took that led you it. When exactly Acronis True Image stop to respond?

Please also collect the Linux System Report the way described in this previous post. Then submit a request for technical support with the subject indicating that you want to contact Anton Sherkhonov. Attach all the collected files and information to your request along with the link to this thread. We will investigate the problem and try to provide you with a solution.

    Thank you.
