That looks seriously sweet, it's like what Microsoft would never let Windows Update become.

Since the weekend is at hand, I'm giving it a whirl now.

    Thanks for the heads up!

    crofttk.....you're welcome! :D
I also tried earlier pre-release version ...PSI TP 2.0, but don't use the auto-patch
feature, but see it could be good for keeping inexperienced/unaware/lazy users
systems patched(if it works properly). Also noticed it uses about 50MB of RAM even on system idle, and it seems to add a lot of temporary files to IE on completing a scan. But, overall, I feel it's good to use regularly, for another opinion, maybe a little the same way I use e.g. Belarc Advisor.

That looks great. I had issues with their last stable release and had to sadly drop it. It looks like I'm coming back though..*fingers crossed*

I hope to god they completely ditch flash, using flash to create some graphs made me facepalm.

Pity, but my mine was not able to connect and to retrieve data. I got no popup from firewall, nor it worked, when I disabled outgoing blocking. Screen.

It's working good here so far. As far as Flash is concerned, eh, I'm not worried about Secunia's program using Flash. It's not like a website where it could be malicious. Then again, who knows these days.

It's more about, eventually, not installing it on my system at all. Having a program require it is silly.

Point taken, but I'm afraid, if you want to use a majority of the web, Flash is sitting put for quite some time. They could have used Java maybe, but then the same security vulnerability/extra program you don't want argument applies as well.

Yes i have flash and i have already reported issue, aparently no easy solution for me. BTW PSI only uses flash to generate pie and the other animated stuff on dashboard, so it's use is not mandatory - i have previously used PSI 1.5.0.2 in 2-3 machines without it, works fine. Back OT, they are recomending people with problems to troubleshoot acording to instructions HERE.

    Thanks.
Smooth sailing here, though I haven't tried any of the automatic stuff.

The Secure Browsing feature doesn't seem to recognise IE...could be 'cos it's
    IE9 beta?

    Hi!

First off, I represent Secunia, and so I am probably biased. :shifty: Thus, I will not comment on the usability of the PSI, or comment on any comparison with 'competing' products.
    '
In fact, we did entirely remove Flash from the Secunia 2.0 Beta. Flash is thus no longer a dependency for graphics (Or Anything!) in the PSI.

If you are using the IE9 Beta, graphics are currently not supported due to incompatibility between the Beta and our graphics libraries. This issue is expected to be fixed with the final release of IE9.

Yes, you are correct. Secunia does not monitor, track or watch any Beta/Alpha/RC products, but only 'real' releases.

    Hope this helps!
    Kind Regards,
