I'm having a lot of issues, over the past 2 days AVG has been telling me time and time again I have winshow and secthought.e. I've followed all sorts of instructions on getting rid of them and it hasn't helped. I've removed all traces of winshow and winlink in my registry while my system restore was off, I've used CWShredder time and time again, and AVG has removed them over and over. After some browsing I noticed a lot of people using HiJackThis to help fix the problem, I don't know what else to do, please help! here's my hijackthis log

Click here to download CWShredder. Close all browser windows,UnZip the file, click on the cwshredder.exe then click "Fix" (Not "Scan only") and let it do it's thing.

When it is finished restart your computer.

IMPORTANT!: To help prevent this from happening again, I strongly recommend you install the patches for the vulnerabilities that this hijacker exploits.

The simplest way to make sure you have all the security patches is to go to Windows update and install all "Critical Updates and Service Packs"

Come back here and post another Hijack This log and we'll get rid of what's left.

Thanks but that's the problem, Shredder has removed the virus numerous times now but I still keep getting AVG popups. And this afternoon I installed all the security updates for windows. Just a few minutes ago I was looking through my windows folders for any left over traces and everytime I would enter certain folders I would get a winshow virus notification on my computer and sure enough, searchhook documents would show up in my folders.

I'm sorry I should have read your opening remarks more thoroughly. I have a tendancy to skim through that part.

You also have the W32.Mapson.D.Worm. See here for more info:

    http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/w32.mapson.d.worm.html

Run Hijack This again and put a check by these. Close all windows except HijackThis and click "Fix checked"

    Restart to safe mode.

How to start your computer in safe mode

First in safe mode click on My Computer. Go to Tools > Folder Options. Click on the View tab and make sure that "Show hidden files and folders" is checked. Also uncheck "Hide protected operating system files" and "Hide extensions for known file types" . Now click "Apply to all folders"
    Click "Apply" then "OK"

    Now find and delete:

    The C:\Program Files\LimeShop folder
    The C:\WINDOWS\image.dll file
    The C:\WINDOWS\System32\RuxDLL32.exe file

While you are still in safe mode run CWShredder one more time then boot back to normal.

Thanks so much! I've done everything and everything is fine now! Getting two errors on startup thought, rundll image.dll error and nvqtwk rundll error, I know to fix the latter I need to update my nvid drivers or something like that but not sure what to do about the rundll image.dll error. But other than those I don't seem to be having any virus activity on my computer

Okay nevermind on the rundll image.dll error, I fixed that by getting rid of the final traces of image.dll in the registry. Now to just fix the nvqtwk error! Thanks a lot!
