    Hi everyone

I just encountered a very strange problem on my computer.

When i went to do a search for yahoo which i know has about 50 entries it searched for 1 second and stopped!
    It only found 2 entries.
Well i knew something was wrong so i checked some of my other programs like NOD32 and same thing happened. I typed in eset and it searched for only 1 second and stopped, it found no files!

Search window looks fine, no error messages,it just won't search any longer than 1 second.

I can't figure out what is wrong :doubt:

    Any ideas?

    thanks

Well, let's just confirm a few things...

First, have you tried rebooting your system just to make sure it isn't just a temporary odd condition with Explorer? Next, you are using the Search > For Files and Folders > All files and folders... And you are sure you have the top level disk drive as the starting location and under More Advanced Options you've got Search subfolders checked and all? (Have you fed the search dog recently? ;) )

    Hi LowWaterMark :D

    Guess what?

    I'm so embarrassed! aggggggghhhh!

I looked at your post, i forgot to feed the dog :'(

I must have mistakenly unchecked search subfolders the other day and not noticed it.

    Boy, what a dummy i am ;)

    Thank you very much LWM

    I really appreciate it!
