Scheduler not working

Working with Windows 8 and Backup and Recovery Home.

I am setting the schedule for the same time each day.

The job will run successfully when I run it manually... but not when left to the schedule.

Normally this means that the computer may have gone to sleep, but I have created a task in task scheduler to run 2 minutes before the backup is scheduled... and the task properties are set to "wake the computer to run this task" and it is set to run as an administrator of the computer.

So the computer is awake when the backup is scheduled to run... but the backup does not run.

Suggestions welcome.
