    Hi everyone,
I do have a few scheduled tasks under ACRONIS that run at night.
On this 14th of December ,I had two tasks that were supposed to run and, believe it or not , they did not run.
One was a full backup of my main drive that runs once a week, and the other was a daily backup of Outlook. Both to be backed up on an external DD.

I read the log for December 14th, and it's completely blank.
Any idea where I could find the reason.
P.S.My computer did not shut down at night.
    Thank you.

    Hello babac,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software.

In order to let us diagnose your problem could you please do the following?

    - Download the http://download.acronis.com/support/schedmgr.exe file;
    - Start the Command Prompt from Start -> Programs -> Accessories menu;
    - Run the following command in the folder you saved the file to:

    schedmgr get report > schedreport.txt

Scheduler report will appear in the folder you run schedmgr.exe from.

    - Enable logging by using the following command:

    set logflags support

    - After that please wait until the problem reoccurs and pick up the schedul2.log file which is placed to \Program files\Common files\Acronis\Schedule2.

It is recommended to turn off logging after getting the log by using the following command (from the schedmgr.exe command prompt):

    set logflags 0
    set lf_registry on

Then please save Windows System Information to a file as it is described in Acronis Help Post and submit a request for technical support. Attach all the collected files and information to your request along with the detailed description of the issue and the link to this thread. We will investigate the problem and definitely will provide you with a solution.

    Thank you.

    Best Regards,
    Alexey Bogomolov

    Hi Alexey,
My daily backup has launched by itself the following day.
Next scheduled backup is set for next tuesday.I'll be waiting until that day to see what happens and I'll get back to you then.
    Thank you for your interest.

Does your PC go into standby? ATi shceudled tasks will not wake a PC from standby but I beleive they then run the next time something else wakes the pc.

If you run the tasks from the windows scheduler, it can wake the pc from standby to run a task.

Do a forum search on windows scheduler; should bring you lots of posts on how to do it.

    Hi Shieber,
No this has nothing to do with standby that I rarely use.My computer is always left open 24 hours and ,so far, never had schduled task problems.

As I said in my first post, my computer did not shut down at night. Therefore , there's no wake up question involved here.
    Thank you for your interest.

    Hi everyone,
Finally ,my two scheduled backups that failed to run last friday ,ran normally this friday.
I guess this problem should be classified as unexplanable and solved.
    Thank you for your help.
