    Ouch!

    MONTREAL - American Chelsea Davis hit her nose on the diving board during the 3-meter springboard preliminaries Friday at the World Swimming Championships.

    I just saw this clip on TV and though not the same, it reminded me of American Greg Louganis smacking his head on a diving board oh so many years ago at the Olympics. :eek:

    It is unbelieveable she wasn't injured any worse than she was.

    Although she didn't break her nose, a lot of blood was seen on her face. I feel sorry for people who injure themselves whilst performing at world events! Poor girl; it was lucky she didn't break anything! :(

    Do you agree that officials at these diving competitions should even think about having springboards for reverse divers? :eek:

    I don't think so. :p I believe they should consider placing platforms, in those positions, on the reverse side of the pool (e.g. 1m platform, 5m, 10m, etc)
    especially for reverse diving. It would reduce self-harm, wouldn't it? o_O
