    Hi,

How can I know if files or URLs that are malicious sent via Skype or YM and other IM tools are being scanned by the ESET Smart Security and also how do I configure this option?
    Thank you.

    Hello,

Short answer: They may or may not be scanned when received, but will be scanned when you go to click on them.

More detailed explanation: URIs embedded in incoming instant messages from various programs may be scanned, depending upon the protocol and the port used to receive them, whether they were saved to disk, what format they were saved in and how ESET's software is configured. However, URIs would be scanned when clicked-on to launch via the web browser through ESET's Web Access protection module.

    Regards,
