    Hi all,
using 4.0.424.0. booted up, and my machine shut down after a couple mins - been having prob due to a glitchy agp port (i think!) but anyways, when i got booted again i had a pop up saying NOD was reporting it was out of date. opened it up, it said 17-2 for the latest def but "nod32 scanner initialization failed", and the icon was red. just done an update and it's pulled a new def file and gone green again, can i assume it just went silly due to my unexpected shut off or should i be aware of anything else?

    thanks....

    Hello,

The current production version of ESET NOD32 Antivirus is 4.0.474.0. You may wish to upgrade to this version as the 4.0.424.0 build is an older one.

    Regards,

    Aryeh Goretsky

Educated guess is that your issue was a one-off and not mission critical.
You may Export your current settings install the latest 4.x build and re-import your settings, assuming you liked the settings that you were previously using.
