scan starts everytime I insert a disk

I can't figure out when this started, but I just noticed that every time I insert a disk into my cd drive, it triggers an automatic scan.

I can't think of any incident where I set it to do this, and I can't figure out how to stop it from doing it. it is not a bad thing when I put a disk in that has a small amount of data on, but if I put a game disk in, it can be scanning for some time.

how do I disable auto scanning of disks when I insert them?

 

there is an option is advanced settings. expand the computer settings and click on removable media. change the option to show scan options and ok the change.
