I looked, but could not find an answer to these very basic questions.
    Please anyone-
1.) How does one configure TDS-3 to produce a scan log or is it automatically set by default to create one?
2.) What is the default location of the scan report on the hard drive?
3.) How does one copy & past the info from the scan report (ie is the log a text file editable by notepad for instance)?

Hi, it's me FanJ (not at home at the moment).

    Hi,
Please have a look at this thread about the Basic Config for TDS-3:
    https://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=2871
    see reply # 4
As shown in that screenshot, put a checkmark in the box "Log Console Activity".
That log is in your TDS-3 directory (=map=folder), then sub-directory Logs.
The logs are there sorted by Month, then by Day.
Those logs are in text (.txt) format.

Another issue are the Scandumps (not quite sure whether you were talking about them):
This is about warnings at the bottom of the TDS-3 Console.
Right-clicking them gives the option to save them as Scandump.
I advice people to give those scandumps an appropriate name (for example with date/time), as the next scandump will overwrite the previous one.

    I hope this might help,
    Cheers, Jan.

Thanks for your quick reply, Jan. I was mainly interested in copying the alarm section of the scan log. Not sure if that is in the dump or the scan log text file you mentioned. I would guess its in the regular old scan log. Is that right?

right click the list of alarms=>select "save as txt"
it will save as scandump.txt into your tds-3 folder
