scan of protected files

    When starting an on-demand scan, I get a lot of protected files that can not be accessed (files in use, password protected files etc.). Are these files excluded from the scan or does NOD32 scan them anyway?

    Also, these files make the report list quite unwieldy. Other products allow to filter the reports and display infected files only. Any idea whether this will be improved in v3?

    No , these are not scanned just because they are protected (some by the OS) and cannot be access at all . No AV can access these files. More here in the FAQ , the first one:

    In case , open your on-demand scanning profile , goto "Setup tab" and uncheck List all files
