My Avast! Home Edition 4.8 has reported a Trojan in

    C:\Program Files\SpywareBlaster\sbautoupdate.exe

Here is all of the information:

    Antivirus Program – Avast 4.8
    C:\Program Files\SpywareBlaster\sbautoupdate.exe
    Win32:Trojan-gen {Other}
    Virus/Worm
    080626-0, 06/26/2008

The options Avast! gave me were:

    - put it in its virus chest until I had a chance to post here to ask
"What the heck was going on?"
BUT Avast was not able to do this option.

    - to leave it be, which I did not even consider.

    or

    - To delete the file, which is what I selected.

Now I have SpywareBlaster that sits there and does not update.o_O

    What is the story here?

-Why does Avast think there is a trojan in the updater?

-I see this question has been asked before, but haven't all the antivirus makers been notified that this is a a false positive?

    - Is it possible there really IS a trojan in the file?

    More info:

I purchased a license key. It is on my older computer, which is near crashing.
I have not transferred it over to this computer, yet.

    What do I do?
I have used SpywareBlaster for Years!!!
I do not want to loose it.
How do I go about Getting a worm free updater?
